What an AWESOME Day! A Big Shout Out of thanks to our Awesome Team of Kid's Inc Volunteers! Angela, Raquel, Sterling, and Malaki. Thank you! Thank You! I must say, I saw some real "initiative"today! YOU ALL were AWESOME! Today we talked about how the King made Nehemiah Governor because he showed such initiative! That's because whenever Nehemiah heard or saw a job that needed to be done, he prayed all the time that God would help him! This week we learned that he was saddened and mad about how the rich neighbors treated the poor people . . . so he did something about it. He could have chosen to look the other way, or say that he was to busy and didn't have time ... BUT he made a WISE choice, .... He choose to help! He was a CAN SEE CAN DO type person! That's what God wants YOU to be! FOR SURE! There are all kinds of people around us everyday that have BIG, HUGE needs and sometimes even SMALL needs.
Today we saw someone sitting in the corner . . . she was so sad, she even had tears in her eyes. We had our own little CSI News Reporter Naomi investigate the "Crime Scene" and find out what happened. She found out that no one talked with her today, and she felt very lonely and she saw others were eating donuts and coffee all around her, but no one offered her anything! What! Not at SC!! You know, that makes God sad right? It is a "CRIME" when we SEE someone in need and we choose NOT to help! That is a real "Crime Scene"! But I am happy to say that our kids came to her aid and met her needs!
Our "CAN SEE CAN DO CHALLENGE" of the day: Kaley and Kyle role played a story: they were really cold, hungry, bored and lonely! But Rachel and Nicolas came to their aid and took care of all of their needs in a BIG way! Kaley and Kyle were so happy and made new friends too! Way to meet the challenge kids!
You see, God cares about the needs of everyone! SO when YOU SEE someone in need, DO what YOU CAN to help them!! And if it is too BIG for you to do .... then ASK your family or friends to help you! Even the little things we do can make a BIG DIFFERENCE in our world!!
Today we had 2 first time visitors. You all made them feel very special! Do you think Alice and Crystal will be back???? I sure hope so! Thanks for coming girls!
And one of our very own, Jackson played the drums for our worship service today and he also played a drum solo for us!! It was Awesome!! I know God gave him the talent, but I wonder who is teaching him . . . Uhmmm.... Thanks for giving him lessons Grandpa!
If you have a talent that you would like to use for GOD in our kid's services let us know! We are looking to form our own Kid's Band!!!
THINGS TO REMEMBER: We are collecting canned goods for a Miami area orphanage the next two Sundays!! Also October 31st is bring your Buddy Barrels it is BGMC Sunday!
