Kids Church - Lets Talk About it!!

Parents I sure hope you have been able to have some "God Time" with your kid each day!
? Lets Talk about it:  Do you know someone with initiative, someone who always seems to
get the job done?  - Talk about that with your child today . . . start a discussion and then see what they know about Nehemiah, get the bible and say the memory verse together! Ask them if they showed "initiative" in school today?  HAVE FUN!!

Lesson:  This month in Kids church we have been talking about Nehemiah, and how his heart was sadden when he learned the news of the walls being torn down in Jerusalem, Then he prayed and decided to do something about it! Now you talk about someone with initiative . . . .  Thats Initiative!  When we combine seeing a problem and doing something about it, a pretty strong reaction occurs:  CHANGE!  God wants you to be a person who does what He asks and is a change-maker in your world!  James 1:22 says  "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says!"
And thats what the kids are praying and asking God to develop in them this month!  To not just be hearers ... but "see-ers  and do-ers" .... and as soon as they SEE a "job" that needs to be done, that they will take the initiative and DO it!

Our memory verse:  Philippians 2:4 "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Game:  Each week we have had a "CAN SEE - CAN DO CHALLENGE" a hands-on game or activity that helps them understand the concept of the lesson that we are teaching!  And believe me .... the kids are always ready and up for the challenge!

Worship: Our kids love to worship God. And we encourage them to worship and give thanks and praise to God with their whole hearts and beings! Some kids may sit and sing softly to God, while others may get up and "move" around the room dancing, raising their hands, clapping, a few do the robot dance or break dance!  But however they worship is okay as long as they are having fun, being respectful and worshipping our God!
Upcoming News:

  1. The next two sundays, each child is asked to bring in a can of soup or vegetables that we will give to an orphanage in miami.
  2. BGMC Sunday is:  October 31st Every one remember to bring their "Buddy Barrel" to kids church filled with the change.  This money goes to missionaries to tell others boys and girls about Christ.
